Qualifications:
- Experience and Education: The Food Service Manager must be qualified on the basis of experience.
- One year experience in hospital or extended care facility food service is required.
- Must have the ability to deal tactfully and courteously with patients, nursing staff, visitors, etc.
- Have the ability to give written and oral instructions in good English; have knowledge of the work to be performed, and possess ability to supervise the work of others.
- The Food Service Manager will have Dietary Certification.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conferring with the Dietitian regarding operating problems, patient food service, and therapeutic diets.
- Orienting training, supervising, discipline, and evaluating personnel.
- Instructing employees in use, care, and maintenance of new equipment.
- Creates and maintains two week schedule for multiple employees.
- Supervising sanitation and housekeeping procedures- schedule monthly, weekly, and routing cleaning.
- Maintaining safety standards.
- Assist in making menus.
- Ordering food and other necessary supplies.
- Receiving and checking deliveries.
- Taking inventory and control food supplies.
- Supervising activities in work area.
- Assisting the Dietitian in standardization of recipes and supervising their use.
- Keep tally numbers of daily meals-total of patient and employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: $38,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
