Job description-Banquet Cook

Birmingham’s historic landmark, The Club, is looking for fun, friendly, and energetic individuals to join our team! The Club has been a Birmingham institution for nearly 74 years, with its breathtaking view of the city, unique architecture, and one-of-a kind restaurants and service.
Our team provides high levels of service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere to our members with three full service restaurants, bar and lounge, along with a high volume of event activity.
*Minimum of 2 years’ experience in banquet and catering. Any combination of education training or experience, Culinary, or Apprenticeship preferred
*Able to manage time wisely and prioritize assignments to meet time restrictions of event REQUIRED. Constant walking with sense of urgency when servicing buffets
*Able to multitask and complete culinary tasks simultaneously. Comfortable with repetitive tasks
*Will be prepping events and attending buffets and plate ups for large events (some 500+ people)
*Able to carry 50lbs or lift multiple times a day. Will need to be able to stand on your feet for 8+ hours
*Open availability required. Able to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays REQUIRED
*Willing to work overtime some weeks
