We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Preschool Teacher to join our team! Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and classroom team to plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Work closely with the teacher to develop and maintain consistent behavioral management strategies that promote positive behavior and social-emotional development.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment.
- Supervise and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Support daily classroom routines, including meals, nap/rest, outdoor play, potty training and transitions.
- Encourage positive social interactions and help children develop appropriate behaviors, independence, and problem-solving skills.
- Communicate with the teacher regarding children's individual needs, behaviors, progress, and development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to ensure consistency in classroom routines and expectations.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and families as directed by the lead teacher or center administration.
- Follow all licensing, health, safety, and center policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 ECE units required.
- Experience working with children ages 2–4 preferred.
- Ability to change diapers and support positive potty training techniques.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patient, dependable, caring, and enthusiastic personality.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a teaching team.
- Must meet all applicable state licensing and childcare employment requirements.
- Montessori or Reggio experience a plus!
