We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Insurance Verifier to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to accuracy, and the ability to navigate insurance policies efficiently. As an Insurance Verifier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring insurance information is verified accurately to facilitate smooth billing processes and optimal patient service.
<Duties>
- Review and verify patient insurance information prior to appointments, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies to confirm coverage details and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies, including HIPAA regulations and benefits administration standards.
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure proper documentation and claims processing.
- Assist patients with questions related to their insurance coverage, benefits, and claims status.
- Analyze insurance data to identify potential issues or inconsistencies that may impact billing or reimbursement.
- Help answer phones and occasionally schedule patients
