Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as an Operating Room Technician (ORT)
- Active nursing license in good standing
- Prior experience assisting in operating room procedures and supporting surgical teams
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical equipment, and safety procedures
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Adaptability and problem-solving abilities, especially in fast-paced environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and necessary equipment
- Assist surgical teams before, during, and after procedures, ensuring optimal workflow and patient safety
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere strictly to infection control protocols
- Facilitate instrument counts and support surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff
- Monitor inventory and restock OR supplies as needed
