Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker to join our client's dynamic logistics team. Candidates with warehouse management experience and mechanical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
Hours
Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm
Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo equipment, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Perform order picking using various equipment such as <PERSON> pickers and order picker machines to fulfill customer orders accurately
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments and preparing outgoing orders
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or coordinate maintenance to ensure optimal operation
- Manage inventory organization within the warehouse management system (WMS), ensuring accurate stock levels and proper placement
- Support warehouse distribution processes by adhering to safety protocols outlined by OSHA standards
- Handle materials with care during heavy lifting tasks, ensuring safe handling practices at all times
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and improve storage solutions
Skills
- Extensive experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo’s, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
- Proven ability in order picking, shipping & receiving processes, and materials handling
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety standards
- Excellent physical strength for heavy lifting activities combined with attention to safety protocols
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and documentation accuracy
- Previous experience in warehouse management or supervision roles is advantageous but not mandatory
