Responsibilities
- Prepare food items with precision, including slicing, assembling, and cooking as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
- Operate POS systems such as TOAST POS to process customer orders quickly and accurately.
- Manage customer transactions at the cash register, including processing cash, credit card payments, and handling receipts.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing surfaces, organizing supplies, and following sanitation protocols regularly.
- Assist with food handling duties like bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring food safety compliance.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while supporting overall food preparation activities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle retail sales transactions confidently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register operations, and inventory management.
- Experience using POS systems such as TOAST POS enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential for maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Retail or grocery store experience can be beneficial for understanding inventory management and customer interactions.
