Overview
Join our dynamic maintenance team as a Maintenance Worker and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our facilities and outdoor spaces. You will be responsible for maintaining buildings, grounds, and landscape features, contributing to a welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Duties
- Perform routine maintenance on buildings, including repairs to fixtures, doors, windows, and plumbing systems.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming trees, pruning shrubs, and planting flowers to enhance curb appeal.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery like excavators for construction or landscaping projects.
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of gardens and landscaped areas.
- Assist with hardscape projects including paving walkways, patios, or retaining walls to improve outdoor spaces.
- Support tree care activities such as trimming or removal to promote healthy growth and safety.Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture principles.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators or other construction machinery is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, digging, mowing, in various weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of landscaping techniques, tree care practices, irrigation systems, and hardscape installation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance issues.
