Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team as a Staff Nurse. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care by performing physical examinations, vital sign assessments, and patient evaluations
- Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, including IV infusions and medication administration
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, laboratory testing, and medical imaging procedures
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth
- Support patient discharge planning, education, and health coaching to empower individuals in managing their health effectively
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely, including airway management, ventilator support, and acute pain management when necessary
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on case management for complex cases involving geriatrics, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, or behavioral health needs
Skills
- Proven experience with Epic EMR/EHR systems and proficiency in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation
- Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to perform thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations
- Skilled in IV insertion, catheterization, tube feeding management, sterile technique, and aseptic procedures
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care
- Knowledge of infection control practices and infectious disease care protocols to ensure patient safety
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or urgent care clinics while maintaining attention to detail and compassion
