Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and detail-oriented PCA/Med Tech to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support while maintaining their dignity and independence
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Administer medications and treatments following prescribed protocols while adhering to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
- Support residents with specialized care needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and memory care strategies for dementia or Alzheimer’s patients
- Document medical information precisely in electronic medical records (EMR systems), ensuring compliance with state healthcare regulations and facility policies
- Provide emotional support and effective communication to residents and their families to foster trust and reassurance
- Assist with manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or transfer techniques to ensure safety for both residents and staff
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of senior care practices including dementia care, hospice care, and memory support strategies
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) certifications such as CPR and First Aid is required
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general enhances your ability to deliver personalized care
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of medical records and resident information
- Knowledge of state healthcare regulations and senior living facility standards ensures compliance at all times
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving manual handling and heavy lifting safely while maintaining resident comfort
