Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Practice Supervisor to lead and manage our healthcare practice operations. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily clinical operations, including patient flow, appointment scheduling, and medical records management using EMR/EHR systems.
- Oversee administrative functions such as billing, coding, insurance claims processing, and financial management to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage healthcare staff including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative team environment aligned with healthcare management best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health regulation policies such as HIPAA and other relevant accreditation requirements.
- Coordinate with medical professionals to optimize clinic workflows, manage patient management software, and support medical administrative tasks.
- Monitor budget adherence, oversee fiscal management activities including budgeting and financial reporting to maintain practice profitability.
- Implement quality assurance protocols related to medical records accuracy, medical billing processes, utilization management, and managed care policies.
Skills
- Extensive experience in medical office management with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Allscripts/Veradigm, EPIC.
- Strong supervisory skills with a proven track record of managing healthcare teams effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance.
- Expertise in fiscal management, budgeting, medical billing, and financial oversight within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with customer service orientation to foster positive patient interactions.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to navigate office management tasks efficiently using Microsoft Office Suite and patient management software.
- Acute care or critical care experience is preferred to support diverse clinical environments.
- Knowledge of human resources practices related to healthcare staff recruitment, training, and performance management.
