Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and equipment ensuring sterilization procedures are meticulously followed.
- Assist dentists during procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, oral surgery, Implants and prosthodontics with precision and professionalism.
- Take digital dental x-rays and 3D scans while maintaining and adhering to radiation safety standards and infection prevention protocols.
- Manage patient records using (preferred) Eaglesoft, document medical history, and treatment details accurately.
- Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-operative instructions, and preventive measures aligned with clinical confidentiality policies.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment by following infection control guidelines including aseptic techniques and dental sterilization procedures.
- Support administrative tasks such as making treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure.
- Proven experience in general dentistry.
- Proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and dental x-ray techniques.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice.
- Experience working with (preferred) Eaglesoft, ability to navigate medical records efficiently.
- Ability to perform and assist with general dentistry, oral surgery and endodontic procedures confidently.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and collaboration within the clinical team.
