Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting the delivery process by assisting with loading, unloading, and Assisting Driver with timely and efficient deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on customer service, experience with warehouse operations, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and professionalism.
Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading goods using equipment such as Hand trucks, Dollies ,Moving Straps , and pallet jacks
- Support the delivery driver in route driving, including navigation and time management
- Help load boxes into trucks, ensuring proper placement for safe transport
- Conduct safety checks on delivery vehicles, including box trucks with manual transmissions
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups
- Support warehouse operations by organizing inventory and preparing items for dispatch
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and delivery vehicles
- Help move heavy items safely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment
Requirements
- Prior experience in customer service, warehouse operations, or delivery roles is preferred
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and moving items safely
- Familiarity with forklift operation, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
