Qualifications:
- · High School diploma or equivalency diploma.
- · One year or more experience in housekeeping or six (6) months or more of experience in housekeeping from Federal, City or State Agency.
- · Capable of working with/among individuals who mentally developmentally disabled.
Responsibilities:
- · Responsible for the overall cleaning and upkeep of residence.
- · Dusting, vacuuming, polishing furniture, mopping, cleaning mirrors, woodwork, windowsills, etc.
- · Cleaning and maintaining the living room, hallways, window blinds, dining area, all bathrooms, laundry room, basement, and recreation room.
- · Ensure all hazardous cleaning materials are kept in a secure locked storage area with proper ventilation.
- · Inform management of needed replacement of dishes, pot/pans, dishtowels, and appliances.
- · Attend all in-services, infection control, and abide by all infection control regulations.
- · Report to your supervisor any physical plant problems, which may bring risk to residents, affect the proper operation of the program, or result in non-compliance with regulations.
