Residential HVAC Service Technician (High Performance Team) Hourly or Commision which ever is greater
Description:
Diamond AC and Heating is BUSY and we are looking for a strong residential service technician who takes pride in their work, communicates well with homeowners, and knows how to create value on every call.
This is not an install position. You will be running service calls, system evaluations, and maintenance visits with real opportunity on every call.
If you are the type of tech who does thorough inspections, educates customers, and naturally converts recommendations into work, you will do very well here.
We are building a team of professionals who take ownership of their calls and deliver a high level of service every time.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Run residential service calls and diagnostics
- Perform full system evaluations (32-point inspections)
- Execute maintenance visits and identify system improvements
- Present repair and replacement options clearly and honestly
- Build trust with homeowners and provide real solutions
- Maintain clean, organized paperwork and communication
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong HVAC diagnostic skills
- Clean, professional communication with customers
- Someone who is confident making recommendations without being pushy
- Organized and accountable
- Takes pride in doing the job right the first time
- Wants to be part of a high-performing team
- Minimum 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience
- Strong diagnostic ability on split systems, package units, and heat pumps
- EPA Certification required
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Comfortable using tablets/phones for service software and notes
- Ability to perform thorough system evaluations, not just basic repairs
- Strong communication skills with homeowners
- Able to clearly explain findings and provide multiple solution options
- Experience with or willingness to learn indoor air quality solutions (filtration, UV systems, air purification)
- Ability to identify airflow, duct leakage, and system performance issues
- Familiar with or open to recommending services such as Aeroseal duct sealing and duct cleaning when appropriate
- Organized, accountable, and able to manage your own calls efficiently
- Takes pride in doing clean, high-quality work
- Professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Comfortable working in a performance-driven environment
- Understands how to create value on each call without being pushy
- Experience with maintenance memberships (PMA), IAQ products, Aeroseal, duct cleaning, or system replacement recommendations is a strong plus
- Proven track record of strong average tickets and customer satisfaction preferred
Compensation:
- Hourly + performance-based incentives
