Restoration 1 is a leading company specializing in fire, water, and mold damage restoration. We've opened a new location in Cleveland and looking for an experienced Restoration Technician to join our team. We're looking for a hardworking and career-minded individual hungry for growth, a positive attitude and a desire to learn. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and have strong customer service skills.
Position Overview
Reporting to the location Owner, the Lead Restoration Technician supports emergency response and restoration projects to ensure the goals and needs of our customers are met. You have extensive previous experience in restoration and are IICRC WRT/ASD certified. You hold yourself to a high standard and care deeply about the quality of your work, impact on customers, teammates and your company.
Responsibilities:
Work on job sites and train junior technicians in providing services such as:
- Water extraction and mitigation
- Remediation services
- Selective demolition as required
- Setting scoped, developing plans, thoroughly documenting work using company technology platforms
- Calculating, setting and managing equipment requirements
Regularly perform the following activities:
- Train and develop junior technicians
- Ensure job site and vehicle are clean, organized and resupplied
- Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
- Clean and maintain equipment, uniforms and overall shop cleanliness
- Practice good housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe, clean and non-cluttered worksite
- Ensure attention to detail in documentation and demonstrate care for customers property
- Familiarity with safety protocols, SDS, PPE, containments, and restoration principles
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment
- Complete all Restoration 1 sponsored training courses in person or virtually
- Full-time with occasional weekend, after-hours and on-call rotation
Qualifications:
- Pass a criminal background check
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Experience in restoration, including thorough documentation of the process
- IICRC WRT/ASD certification required, and willingness to be certified within an agreed upon period
- High school diploma/GED required

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces, attics)
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
- Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals

Pay: $27.00 - $31.00 per hour
