Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transactions processing
- Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Assist with food handling, preparation support, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and spirits to elevate guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues swiftly
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting; fine dining experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable; ability to process sales accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques including spirits experience and cocktail experience
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification; understanding of sanitation standards and food handling procedures
- Experience with upselling techniques to increase sales and enhance guest experiences
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
