TradeSTAR is seeking an experienced Voice & Data Technician for commercial projects in the San Antonio area. This is a great opportunity for a technician with some low-voltage or construction experience who is ready to strengthen their skills and build a long-term career in structured cabling.

Job Duties
- Pull, identify, route, and label Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
- Install support structures including J-hooks, support rings, cable slings, and cable tray or ladder rack
- Perform workstation outlet terminations
- Assist with closet dressing and termination of network equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and identify cable pathways
- Follow EIA/TIA standards and commercial installation practices
- Use basic industry-specific testing equipment
- Maintain safe, organized, and professional work areas
Requirements
- 6 months to 2 years of structured cabling or low-voltage experience preferred
- Familiarity with commercial voice and data cabling installations
- Experience pulling and labeling copper and fiber cabling
- Basic understanding of network cabling color codes and terminations
- Comfortable using hand tools and basic test equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and follow installation plans
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check
- Willingness to work days, nights, or weekends as project requirements dictate
