What You'll Do:
- Coordinate daily field operations, resolving subcontractor issues and site conflicts.
- Enforce safety protocols and perform toolbox talks, audits, and corrective actions.
- Monitor jobsite activity and identify risks early; implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure full compliance with drawings, specifications, and subcontractor scope.
- Lead weekly progress updates and maintain communication with PMs and stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed daily and weekly field schedules that align with the master plan.
- Document and address non-compliance issues promptly, ensuring accountability and corrective action.
- Proactively identify field risks and develop contingency plans to maintain schedule integrity.
- Communicate job site goals and milestones clearly to all field staff and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and site audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Facilitate daily subcontractor coordination meetings to align on schedule and resolve field issues.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
- Deep familiarity with sequencing, methods, and OSHA safety standards.
- Proficient in field documentation, scheduling tools, and Procore.
- Skilled at reviewing and interpreting complex construction plans.
- Strong leadership and communication with both field teams and office staff.
Bonus Experience:
- Prior field experience in the trades.
- Familiarity with Louisiana subcontractors, inspectors, and permitting.
- Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred but not required).
