Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and ensure floor care standards are met consistently
- Restock amenities such as towels, toiletries, and linens to meet guest expectations
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Maintain sanitation standards by properly disposing of waste and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Operate cleaning equipment efficiently while practicing manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience within a hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in floor cleaning, industrial cleaning, and general sanitation practices
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management processes and customer service principles
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling, safety data sheets (SDS), and proper use of cleaning equipment
- Experience with hotel emergency procedures and ensuring guest safety during routine tasks
- Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks associated with housekeeping duties
- Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced hospitality settings
