Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $65,000 to $90,000 per year.
Maintain the general ledger by verifying transactions preparing entries and reconciling balances with precision.
Assist with monthly quarterly and yearly financial statements and present clear summaries of results.
Lead key tasks for the month end close with guidance from the corporate controller and keep support files organized.
Perform regular bank and account reconciliations and resolve differences promptly.
Support budgeting and forecasting and partner with teams to analyze data and improve processes while safeguarding confidentiality.
A Bachelor's degree in accounting finance or a related field with a CPA viewed as a plus.
3+ years of accounting experience ideally within building construction or similar industries.
Understand United States accounting principles and work confidently in accounting software with experience in Accumatica considered helpful.
Use Microsoft Office programs with strong to advanced skill in Excel and prepare clear written and verbal communications.
Manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and ask clarifying questions when information is uncertain.
Research accounting guidance when needed and apply findings to accurate reporting and compliance.
Prepare tax filings gather compliance documents and provide organized support during audits.
Monitor fixed assets maintain depreciation schedules and keep records current.
Contribute ideas that streamline workflows increase accuracy and strengthen internal controls.
