American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric PACU position requiring 2 years of Peds PACU/Pre-Op experience and CA RN licensure.

Work in the Pediatric PACU unit of a children's hospital setting
-
Day shift schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
-
Cases include ENT, ophthalmology, and orthopedic surgeries such as tonsillectomy
-
Involves conscious sedation, general, local, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
-
Requires cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition/management skills
-
Uses Epic charting system
-
Ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed
-
May be reassigned to a different department, unit, or facility within a 75+ mile radius during the assignment
-
Active CA RN license in hand required
-
BSN required
-
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
-
Minimum 2 years of Pediatric PACU/Pre-Op experience required
-
Trauma Level II experience required
-
Trauma Level I experience preferred
-
Teaching hospital experience required
-
Epic charting experience required
-
Skilled in respiratory and airway assessment
-
Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and pediatric patient management
-
Provide perianesthesia nursing care to pediatric surgical patients
-
Interpret and communicate lab values as part of patient care
-
Administer and monitor emergency medications as needed

All RTO must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer, and cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment

Two references from the most recent employer required for consideration

Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for rehire eligibility review

Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be placed on the same unit
