Friedland Law is a fast-growing personal injury law firm seeking a Settlement & Reductions Specialist to manage the final and most critical phase of our cases. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with experience negotiating medical reductions, preparing settlement statements, and ensuring a smooth closing process for our clients.
You’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional client experience while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and efficiency from settlement through disbursement.
What You’ll Do:
- Request, negotiate, and resolve medical reductions and liens with medical providers and health insurance companies
- Draft, finalize, and process settlement statements upon receipt of settlement confirmation
- Coordinate attorney and supervisor review and signatures for settlement documentation
- Request and track case costs with the finance department
- Provide clear and timely settlement updates to clients
- Draft all letterhead and documentation for designated payees, including clients, medical providers, and lienholders
- Coordinate in-person client disbursement meetings with assigned attorneys, supervisors, and required staff
- Send Docusigns to clients when in-person meetings are not possible, confirming mailing addresses prior to shipment
- Email or fax executed and notarized releases to insurance carriers
- Copy, scan, and upload all checks and final documents into the case management system
- Notify office management once files are fully scanned and ready for closing procedures
- Handle all post-settlement phone calls from clients, medical providers, and insurance carriers
- Promote and request Google reviews from clients at the time of disbursement
- Meet a weekly disbursement quota of 25 closed cases
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in personal injury settlements, reductions, or case closing
- Strong negotiation skills with medical providers and lienholders
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Bilingual: Spanish is a must
- Professional and empathetic client communication abilities
- Ability to manage volume, deadlines, and competing priorities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-office environment

Pay: $24.00 - $28.50 per hour
