Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The CNA will provide essential direct patient care, supporting individuals across various care settings, including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and community health environments. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients by assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care techniques and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality support in diverse clinical contexts.
Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care or wound management.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
- Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility exercises to prevent complications and promote independence.
- Maintain infection control standards by practicing HIPAA-compliant procedures and adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care across inpatient, outpatient, or home care settings.
- Support emergency response efforts utilizing basic life support (BLS) skills during urgent situations or trauma incidents.
- Document medical records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks; ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Engage in ongoing training related to critical care experience, ICU protocols, hospice care, or pediatric care as needed to enhance skill set.
MUST HAVE:
- 2 years of experience as an CNA (LTC/SNF) - [REQUIRED]
- BLS certification (AHA) - [REQUIRED]
Shift Timings : Nights, Varies
Weekly schedule : 6p-7:30a /36 or 48 hours - Every other weekend
