CampusTown Urgent Care is looking for a Part-Time (3-6 shifts a month) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team.
CampusTown is a thriving Urgent Care Facility located in Champaign, IL. We focus predominantly on the University student demographic, seeing mainly 18 - 26-year-olds and treating a wide range of cases.
The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will be accountable for providing direct care to patients. This role assesses patient's health status through interview and physical exam.
Competencies:
- Performs patient examinations
- Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical exam of patients
- Addresses urgent care needs to patients as needed
- Order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures
- Performs phlebotomy and initiates IVs
- Delivers quality care
- Experience with injections, minor procedure assistance, including suturing minor lacerations, simple I&D of cysts and abscesses, etc.
- Experience and knowledge of urgent care medical specialty
- Prepare written prescription orders
- Triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation
- Perform independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations
- Perform related work as required
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant with valid license in the State of Illinois to practice medicine
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge: Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of concepts, practices with the ability to use them in complex varied situations
- No covid vaccinations required

- We are closed spring break, summer, and a 3-week Christmas break

Pay: $68.00 - $75.00 per hour
