**Certified Medication Aide CMA - Double Weekend Shift**
**Job Summary:**
Wedgewood Nursing Home, a leading provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in Texas, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at our Fort Worth, Texas facility. **Responsibilities:**
• Administer medications and treatments to residents as prescribed by their physicians and as directed by the nursing staff
• Monitor residents' responses to medications and report any adverse reactions or concerns to the nursing staff
• Provide basic care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature checks
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration and resident care
• Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their overall well-being and quality of life
**Requirements:**
• Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in the state of Texas
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training in a healthcare-related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Reliable transportation and ability to work flexible scheduling, including double weekends
