Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Production and Layout Designer to join our tight-knit team. This dynamic, in-person role balances digital design with hands-on fabrication in a light manufacturing environment. You will guide projects from initial computer-generated layouts to final physical installation, ensuring high-quality visual communication products for vehicles, substrates, and buildings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Layout: Create computer-generated, full-color layouts and scale graphics for production.
- File Preparation: Prep digital files, output vinyl, and manage proper formats for weeding, cutting, and printing.
- Equipment Operation: Set up, load, and run flatbed and roll-to-roll printers, lasers, and CNC routers.
- Hands-On Production: Handle raw materials, weed vinyl, mount prints to substrates, and assist with physical fabrication.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients through the sales and customer service staff to refine designs and guarantee total satisfaction.
- Field Installation: Work closely with the team to install finished signage and graphics on-site.
Qualifications & Skills
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of graphic file types, vector vs. raster layouts, and print-ready setups.
- Physical Capability: Ability to work on your feet in a light manufacturing environment and lift/load production materials.
- Attributes: Self-motivated team player with a strong eye for detail and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
