Position Overview
We are seeking a Commercial Designer & Drafting Technician to support our construction team in developing high‑quality building designs for projects throughout Central and North Central Wisconsin. This role offers a hands‑on opportunity to grow your drafting and design skills within a collaborative, creative, and fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce complete, accurate plan sets—including site plans, floor plans, elevations, foundation plans, and construction details—using AutoCAD.
- Prepare preliminary design concepts and 3D renderings to support our sales team during early project development.
- Create state‑approved construction plans, coordinating with engineers to incorporate structural design requirements for foundations, mezzanines, and other building components.
- Apply strong knowledge of commercial building design principles, building codes, and construction methods.
- Communicate effectively with sales staff, project managers, and engineering partners to ensure plans meet project goals and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Prior drafting experience in commercial or residential construction is required.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with 3D modeling/rendering tools.
- Strong understanding of commercial building systems and design standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
