Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Test Engineer for second shift to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic products through comprehensive testing, inspection, and analysis. Your expertise will help maintain high standards in surface mount technology, quality control, and quality assurance processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in a fast-paced environment while honing your mechanical and technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing of electronic assemblies using surface mount technology techniques to verify functionality and adherence to specifications
- Perform quality inspections utilizing schematics, technical drawings, and standards such as ASME codes & standards to identify defects or deviations
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, soldering equipment, and non-destructive testing methods to evaluate product integrity
- Collect and analyze data from testing procedures to identify trends or recurring issues impacting product quality
- Document test results accurately in reports and maintain detailed records for quality assurance purposes
- Assist in troubleshooting assembly issues by reviewing schematics and mechanical drawings, providing feedback for process improvement
- Support manufacturing teams by providing technical guidance on quality control procedures and inspection techniques
Skills
- Strong knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT) assembly processes and quality control methodologies
- Proficiency in performing quality inspections using schematics, calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools
- Experience with non-destructive testing methods for electronic components and assemblies
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to manufacturing environments including assembly techniques and use of hand tools
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to manufacturing safety and quality practices
- Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data effectively for continuous improvement initiatives
- Skilled in soldering techniques and reading technical schematics for troubleshooting purposes
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles including defect detection, root cause analysis, and process validation

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
