Responsibilities
- Clinical Support: Assist the dentist chairside during procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions) by passing instruments, managing suction, and anticipating the provider's needs.
- Patient Care: Greet and seat patients, review medical histories, record vital signs, and provide post-operative instructions or oral hygiene education. Act as a friendly guide for patients throughout their visit, using a positive attitude to create a welcoming and stress-free environment.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain a helpful and enthusiastic demeanor with colleagues to ensure a harmonious, supportive workplace.
- Sterilization & Maintenance: Clean and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms according to OSHA and infection control protocols.
- Diagnostic Tasks: Take and process dental X-rays (radiographs) and create impressions or scans of teeth for models.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, update digital patient records using dental software (e.g., Dentrix), manage inventory, and assist with billing or insurance forms.
- Laboratory Work: Perform lab tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary restorations.
- Physical demands: Requires long periods of standing and bending.
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
