Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to safety standards and recipes
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas by cleaning surfaces, utensils, equipment, and ensuring proper waste disposal
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and efficiently to keep dining areas tidy
- Handle manual lifting of supplies, ingredients, and equipment following safe lifting practices to prevent injury
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly manner while providing excellent in-person customer service
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Support food running duties by delivering orders from kitchen to tables swiftly and professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with knowledge of food handling procedures
- Strong understanding of kitchen safety protocols, including proper manual handling and heavy lifting techniques
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
- Ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks consistently to uphold hygiene standards
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms for order processing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food preparation and storage
- Enthusiastic team player with a passion for hospitality and delivering guest services at the highest level
