REVERSE ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION
J12 is looking for a Software Reverse Engineer to perform analysis on foreign weapon systems. This position involves creating or employing tools to disassemble and decompile extracted binaries, performing static analysis on decompiled code, and developing and employing environments to perform dynamic analysis on weapon system software.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support exploitation of various weapon systems by reverse engineering missile and air defense software.

Use existing SWRE tools (Ghidra, IDA Pro, etc.) and develop custom plugins, analyzers, and scripts to aid static analysis.

Configure dynamic analysis environment using emulation/virtualization software (QEMU, VirtualBox, etc.).

Document analysis and communicate threat system characteristics and vulnerabilities through report writing and in-person presentations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical discipline.

Experience with SWRE tools and methods (Ghidra, IDA Pro, QEMU).

Experience in writing C++ and Python/MATLAB code

Excellent math skills.

Existing TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility and a counter-intelligence polygraph.

Candidate must be a US-only Citizen.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related technical discipline.

Deep understanding of various computer architectures and emulation.

Working knowledge of radar, command-and-control, digital signal processing, signals and systems, tracking, coordinate transformations, and engagement planning.
- Ability to interact with data suppliers, work well with coworkers, and interface with customers.

Ability to communicate complex technical issues and provide comprehensive written, oral and/or digital products (including document organization and technical writing).
