Job Title: Medical Licensing Specialist
Position Summary:
The Medical Licensing Specialist manages the full lifecycle of medical provider licensure across multiple states, ensuring timely application, renewal, and regulatory compliance. This role serves as the operational expert for state medical board requirements and supports providers through accurate completion of licensing applications and all required supporting documentation.
Role & Core Responsibilities:
- Apply for and complete initial and renewal medical licenses for physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Prepare, submit, and track licensing applications and all required supporting forms.
- Collect, verify, and submit required documentation (transcripts, training verifications, fingerprinting, AMA Profile, NPDB, ECFMG, board certifications).
- Establish and maintain provider profiles with FSMB, FCVS, UA, and IMLC.
- Monitor expiration dates and manage renewal cycles to prevent licensure lapses.
- Track application status, identify deficiencies, and resolve outstanding items.
- Serve as liaison with state medical boards and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with state-specific regulations and CME requirements.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready licensure records and tracking systems.
- Communicate timelines and status updates to providers and internal teams.
- Support internal and external audits related to licensure and compliance.
- Identify regulatory changes impacting provider eligibility.
- Assist with urgent or expedited licensure requests.
- Collaborate with Credentialing, Compliance, HR, and Operations teams.
Qualifications:
3-4+ years of provider licensing, credentialing, or regulatory experience with demonstrated knowledge of multistate medical board processes and licensing, FSMB, FCVS, UA, IMLC etc. CPCS or CPMSM certification, DEA/CSR familiarity, and experience in telehealth or multistate practice environments.
Working Conditions:
A designated, secure, and private home workspace is required for this remote role to ensure compliance with HIPAA and company privacy and security policies. This workspace must support confidential patient communications and prevent unauthorized access to protected health information. Typing is required and you will be required to use Company approved virtual technology to visualize patients during visits. A personally owned computer used for this role must meet all company-mandated security and encryption requirements as defined by the IT team. Company-provided security software, including platforms for patient video consultations, may need to be installed to ensure the device remains compliant with organizational data protection standards. Periods of prolonged sitting or standing can be expected. Travel requirements could occur based on specific state licensure and leadership needs.

Pay: $57,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
