We are seeking an outgoing, bilingual, energetic Teacher Assistant. We are seeking someone who is called by God, who loves children, and loves education. We have two (2) openings to help with Middle School and Upper Elementary students.
Job Requirements:
- Authentic and vibrant faith in Jesus Christ
- Able to teach 20-25 children daily
- Able to manage student behavior effectively
- Communicates well with parents and students
- Uses technology in the classroom
- Follows faithfully the school curriculum
- Loves children and education
- Assists the teacher as needed
- Functions as Substitute Teacher when teacher is absent
Additional Requirements:
- Fluent English and Spanish (verbal and written)
- Must live or will relocate within 25 minutes of the church
- 3 or more recent work references, including immediate supervisor
Helpful Qualifications
- Has experience teaching children in a school setting
- Has a college degree
Holidays and Breaks
- Thanksgiving Holiday (5 days)
- Christmas Break (10 days)
- Early Release Days (4-8 per school year)
- Additional School Holidays (5-7 days)
- Summer Break (8 weeks)
Compensation
- Base salary range is $30,000-$31,500 paid over 12 months.
- Employee discount is $2,000-$6,000 when enrolling your children at no cost in our academy, worth about $2,000 per child after scholarships and free before-care and aftercare worth about $3,000 per child. For an employee with two children in our school, the value of the contract is worth as much as $36,000.
