The SEC Technician builds, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems and components.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation
- Provide skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas
- Install and integrate security control systems: access control, video surveillance, intercom systems, video visitation systems, duress systems, etc.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembling electronics
- Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers and filed representatives as necessary
- Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment
- Adjust and replace defective or improperly functions circuitry and electrical components
- Test electronic units, using standard test equipment, a analyze results to evaluate performance
- Develop understanding and take part in Field Quality Control and Quality Assurance process
- Communicate regularly and effectively as appropriate
- Maintain the standards, culture and values of CML Security
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 3 Years of related experience or equivalent education preferred
