Title: Adoption Counselor
Adoption Counselors are responsible for guiding the public through the adoption and surrender process, as well as educating on the services BHS provides and offering them assistance on basic animal care. ACs process applications, complete adoptions, and assist in the surrendering of pets and in educating the public on pet retention. ACs must be proficient in Microsoft Word, internet research, and able to handle multiple phone lines. Multi-tasking and compassions are essential components to this position. This position requires excellent customer service skills both in person and by phone and email; and a willingness to help, educate, and facilitate a positive experience at BHS.
