Overview
Tower Signs & Awnings designs, produces, and installs custom signage and awnings for businesses mainly across the NYC metro and Long Island area. We work directly with store owners, restaurants, franchise operators, and property managers to help their businesses stand out. As we grow, we're looking for a driven sales representative to join our team and help bring in new business.
The Role
You'll be the face of Tower Signs & Awnings to prospective clients, identifying businesses that need new or upgraded signage, building relationships with owners and decision-makers, and guiding them from first conversation to signed contract. This is an on-site role: you'll split time between our office and the field, meeting clients on-site to assess their space and present solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new business opportunities among local retailers, restaurants, franchises, and commercial properties
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners and key decision-makers
- Conduct in-person consultations and site visits to assess signage needs
- Present product options, prepare quotes, and deliver proposals tailored to each client
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client communications
- Collaborate with our design and production teams to ensure a smooth handoff after the sale
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule across office and field visits
- Reliable transportation for offsite client meetings across the NYC tri-state area
Experience
- Previous experience in outside sales or retail sales is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated newcomers eager to learn and will train you on our products
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers effectively
- A strong understanding of sales fundamentals and what it takes to build a pipeline and close deals
- A personality that fits: confident, personable, self-motivated, and comfortable talking to business owners
- Multilingual abilities are a plus
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Compensation & Schedule
- Full-time, in-person with regular offsite client assignments
- Base salary plus uncapped commission
- Territory: NYC metro (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Staten Island), Nassau/Suffolk
