Trailer Component Manufacturing, a division of Buyers Products and a leading manufacturer in the work truck industry, has positions available for experienced carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum welders.
- 2nd shift opportunities
- $26-$38/hr. - based on experience and interview/weld test
- ***DIRECT HIRE*** opportunity for qualified candidates
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate skills using MIG or TIG welding processes.
- First piece inspection
- Executing daily schedule: communicating with operators, staging tooling, assisting with set ups
- Flow of Material
- Safety / Clean up: audit area daily for safety hazards, dispose of wood / broken skids, dispose and replace shop rags, dispense proper PPE as needed
- Shadow Boards: audit at end of shift, replenish tags, forms, oil and cleaner
- Training new employees: follow weekly itinerary, audit paperwork, in process inspection
Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years of Steel/Aluminum experience is preferred
- GED or High School diploma required, certificate from a technical or vocational school is preferred.
- Understand and apply welding techniques and ability to operate welding equipment with skill
- Wire-feed welding
- MIG and/or TIG welding
Candidates are given a written & hands on weld test prior to position being offered.
