The Credentialing & Provider Enrollment Specialist is a full-time, salaried position responsible for the coordination, management and administration of credentialing and reappointment for all Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgical Associates (CTVSA) medical staff and allied health professionals at CTVSA contracted locations. This role will maintain and update all credentialing and re-credentialing information for all providers and share this information with CTVSA billing partners.
Position Description:
- Completing all initial payer enrollment applications for commercial and government payers including timely follow up on said applications
- Completing and maintaining all CAQH profiles for all providers
- Updating and maintaining National Provider Identification files for providers
- Obtaining and maintaining payer portal access for credentialing and billing department
- Ensuring timely re-credentialing to prevent any lapse in enrollment or hospital privileges
- Communicating with hospitals, payers, providers and other entities to quickly and accurately obtain or provide information beneficial to the credentialing or enrollment needs of the organization
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, college degree preferred; minimum of 2 years of credentialing and/or payer enrollment experience or equivalent in a medical setting.
- Knowledge and thorough understanding of current health plan and agency requirements, and managed care operations including enrollment, credentialing, contracting and claims
- Knowledge of payer processes, local, state and federal requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication; organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills; strong attention to detail; research and follow up skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and issues effectively and simultaneously, as well as being able to work both independently and in a team setting
- Tech savvy, knowledge of Microsoft Office products, comfortable using multiple systems at once
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification or Provider Enrollment Specialist Certificate (PESC) a plus
Schedule:
- 8 hour shifts
- Monday to Friday
- 3 days on site, 2 days remote

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
