Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Traveling Carpentry Foreman to lead and oversee construction projects across multiple locations. This role is vital in ensuring that carpentry work is executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. As a Traveling Carpentry Foreman, you will coordinate teams, manage schedules, and ensure project specifications are met while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Your expertise will drive project success from start to finish, fostering collaboration among subcontractors and clients alike.
Duties
- Allocate and manage manpower to ensure tasks are assigned efficiently and completed on schedule.
- Assist in developing and maintain daily and weekly work schedules in coordination with project management.
- Oversee the quality of all carpentry work, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Perform material takeoffs from plans and drawings to determine accurate quantities for ordering.
- Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials to prevent delays in workflow.
- Arrange for necessary tools and equipment to be delivered and maintained on-site.
- Track and report daily crew timecards, fuel usage, and job-related expenses.
- Submit accurate records for invoicing, including labor hours and site-related costs.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed and promote a clean, organized, and hazard-free worksite.
- Communicate effectively with project operations team, clients, and subcontractors to align goals and expectations.
- Provide hands-on support and direction to crew members, promoting productivity and accountability.
- Travel for work.

Skills
- Extensive experience in construction management with a focus on carpentry projects across diverse sites.
- Proven supervising experience with the ability to lead teams effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes.
- Skilled in using software such as Outlook, Excel, Internet websites, etc.
- Familiarity with contracts management and understanding of construction site safety protocols including OSHA standards.
- Ability to read technical schematics and utilize measurement tools like an ohmmeter for quality assurance.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on project scheduling, budgeting, and quality control measures.
