Summary
Phoenix International Publications, Inc. located in Chicago, Illinois is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Human Resources Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This role requires extensive payroll experience using ADP Workforce Now. The Human Resources Specialist will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting organizational growth through effective HR practices.
Duties
- Oversee talent acquisition processes including recruiting, and onboarding new employees.
- Administer Payroll (ADP Workforce Now)
- Administer employee benefits programs and manage benefits.
- Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA standards, Workers' Compensation regulations.
- Manage employee relations by addressing workplace issues, conflict management, and conducting employee evaluations and performance management initiatives.
- Maintain accurate HR data entry.
- Administer FMLA requests, leave policies, and workers' compensation claims in accordance with legal requirements.
- Facilitate communication across departments to promote HR best practices and ensure consistent application of policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field)
- Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP or PHR are preferred.
- Proven experience in human resources
- 3 - 5 years experience
- Extensive knowledge of ADP payroll (Workforce Now), Benefits Management, Employment and Labor Law
- Proficiency in ADP is required.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
Salary Range$55,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and other employee perks.
