Seeking an experienced senior machinist to assist in leading daily operations in our machining facility. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for running production, coordinating workflow, mentoring employees, ensuring quality, and helping drive the growth of the company.
We are looking for a machinist who takes ownership, solves problems independently, and can manage the entire shop floor while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
· Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machining equipment
· Plan and prioritize daily production schedules
· Coordinate workflow
· Monitor job progress and ensure on-time delivery
· Manage tooling requirements and inventory
· Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and production issues
· Work directly with ownership regarding scheduling, staffing, and customer priorities
· Improve shop efficiency, processes, and profitability
· Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications
· 8+ years machining experience preferred
· Strong CNC setup and programming experience
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
· Experience with job shop and custom manufacturing environments
· Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
