Duties
- Operate swing cab cranes safely and efficiently to lift, move, and position construction materials and equipment across various site locations
- Coordinate with ground personnel to execute precise rigging and load securing procedures
- Conduct thorough pre-operation inspections of crane systems, controls, and safety devices before each shift
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of crane operations, including assembling rigging and supporting equipment
- Handle materials using forklifts, boom trucks, backhoes, excavators, or other heavy machinery as needed for site logistics
- Maintain clear communication with team members to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to safety protocols
- Document all crane operations, inspections, and maintenance activities accurately in logs
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating swing cab cranes or similar heavy equipment on construction sites
- Strong mechanical knowledge of crane systems, rigging techniques, and load calculations
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred
- Skilled in rigging, materials handling, forklift operation, boom trucks, backhoe operation, and excavators
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures is essential
- Prior warehouse experience or shipping & receiving background is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency
