Central Perk Coffee Co. is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking Porters to support our Kitchen, Retail, and Cafe operations. Key Responsibilities
As a vital member of the Central Perk team, your responsibilities will ensure the seamless operation and cleanliness of our entire venue. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Deep Cleaning: Executing routine and deep cleaning tasks across all departments (kitchen, cafe, storage areas) to meet health and safety standards.
- Waste Management: Changing trashes and removing recycling and waste from all areas; efficiently breaking down/bailing boxes and managing the trash disposal area.
- Cafe & Guest Areas: Thoroughly cleaning bathrooms, maintaining cleanliness of the cafe seating area, counters, and high-touch surfaces.
- Dishwashing: Operating dishwashing equipment and diligently washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Restocking: Assisting with the rotation and restocking of products, supplies, and materials across the cafe and kitchen.
- Retail Support: Receiving and unboxing retail merchandise and helping organize stock in storage areas.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Prior Experience: Previous experience as a Porter, Dishwasher, or Janitor in a high-volume restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment is a plus.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Ethic: Strong commitment to cleanliness, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, given our Times Square location.
- Communication: Basic communication skills to effectively work with kitchen staff, servers, and managers.
