Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a growing primary care practice in Smyrna, Tennessee. This full-time role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate is confident in managing chronic conditions, preventive care, and acute visits while maintaining strong patient relationships and clinical autonomy within a collaborative physician-led setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions
- Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans
- Manage preventative care, wellness visits, and patient education
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with Tennessee regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Tennessee
- Board certification (FNP, AGNP, or related primary care specialty)
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred (primary care strongly preferred)
- Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting
