Load’em Up Trailers is hiring a Welder / Fabricator to help build equipment trailers, car haulers, utility, and enclosed trailers.
We build real equipment — not repetitive production welding.

Pay:$25 – $35 per hour depending on experience
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Flexible hours up to 40 hours per week

Responsibilities
- Weld structural steel used in trailer frames, crossmembers, ramps, and fenders
- Lay out, fit, and assemble trailer components from drawings and shop instructions
- Fabricate trailer frames and structural components
- Operate shop equipment including saws, ironworkers, grinders, and cutting torches
- Grind and finish welds to meet quality standards
- Install axles, couplers, jacks, fenders, and tie-down points
- Ensure proper alignment and fit-up prior to final welding
- Inspect welds and assemblies for structural integrity and quality
What We're Looking For
- Experience welding structural steel
- Ability to fabricate and fit parts prior to welding
- Experience using fabrication tools and shop equipment
- Ability to read basic shop drawings or fabrication layouts
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
Quick Skill Check
To be successful in this role you should be comfortable:
- Welding 1/8" – 3/8" structural steel
- Fitting and fabricating parts before welding (not just production welding)
- Using shop equipment like band saws, ironworkers, grinders, and torches
- Reading basic shop drawings or CAD drawings
If you have experience building trailers, equipment, structural steel, or heavy fabrication, that’s a big plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Work Environment
- Steel trailer fabrication shop
- Structural steel welding and fabrication
- Power tools and fabrication equipment
- PPE required (helmet, gloves, safety glasses)
