Driver - Live Plants Nursery – CDL Class B
Job summary:
Knox Horticulture is seeking a motivated Truck Driver to join our Logistics department. Our logistics team handles the shipment of both young starter plants and finished annual landscape plants to customers throughout Florida. Primary duties for this position assisting in the loading and unloading of our straight box trucks of plants on rolling racks from our production warehouse to customer nurseries, greenhouses and landscape locations throughout the Florida. Routing is primarily local deliveries with few or no overnight stays required.

Essential job duties include:
- The qualified candidate MUST be responsible and timely. We start early mornings and generally finished by 3PM.
- Driving Knox Horticulture box trucks to customer locations throughout the Florida.
- Unloading carts from truck for customers upon delivery.
- Providing excellent customer service to both external customers as well as internal team members.
- Completing all required documentation and paperwork completely and accurately on a timely basis.
- Breaking down and assembling racks when required.
- Adhering to safety policies.
- Meeting expectations for attendance and punctuality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Florida CDL Class B (required) or Florida CDL Class A driver’s license.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record.
- Minimum of 1 years driving experience.
- Valid medical certificate.
- Physically fit – able to bend, push, pull, stoop and/or twist. Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull wheeled/rolling carts loaded with plant material. Carts can weigh hundreds of pounds (our product is primarily 4 inch annuals).
- Ability to adapt to changing working conditions.
Other requirements:
- Some tasks require work during holidays, evenings, and weekends.
- Must have reliable transportation.
