American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and at least 1 year of experience for a Level II Trauma Center.

Short-term acute care hospital setting with 431 staffed beds and Level II Trauma Center designation
-
MRI department performs general, MSK, neuro, vascular and cardiac MR imaging
-
Patient population includes adults, pediatrics, patients requiring anesthesia or ventilator support, and patients with conditional implants
-
Daily caseload of 10-15 patients
-
Uses Philips iSite PACS, document scanning, and Care Logistics software
-
Epic charting system preferred
-
4x9 hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM
-
Rotating weekday call, generally 1 day per week but up to 2 days depending on staffing needs
-
Rotating Friday and weekend call required
-
Holiday rotation required
-
May float within scope to meet facility needs
-
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; if ARMRIT, minimum 6 months experience required
-
ARRT (R) certification preferred
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required
-
Some Philips equipment experience required
-
Experience with PACS and contrast administration required
-
Experience starting peripheral IVs preferred
-
Community hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
-
Cardiac imaging experience preferred, including MR Cardiac with/without contrast
-
License required if applicable
-
Perform MRI imaging across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, cardiovascular, and musculoskeletal studies

Utilize special imaging techniques including diffusion imaging, gradient echo imaging, MIP, MPR, and surface coils
-
Prepare and administer contrast media as needed

Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction

RTO requests are subject to manager's discretion

Scrub color is Caribbean blue

Up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules required within 1 week of signing

Travelers must obtain all required certifications prior to start

Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation from the facility before eligibility to return
