As a Reading Specialist, you will work closely with teachers, students, and families to implement effective literacy strategies, tailor instructional approaches, and support diverse learning needs. Responsibilities
- Assess the reading ability of individual students
- Develop instructional activities that provide targeted reading remediation for identified students
- Find and evaluate instructional methods and materials that support student progress
- Plan strategies that will enhance the level of reading and assist individual's comprehension and other subject matter more easily
- Communicate student strengths and weaknesses to classroom teachers when appropriate
- Set up an environment that is conducive to individual learning and motivate students to want to improve their reading skills and apply this skill to other subject areas
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education; Master’s degree in reading preferred
- Reading specialist certification required

Pay: $44,701.00 - $74,583.00 per year
