· Perform tasks of a universal employee.
· Maintain quality control measures to ensure the temperature, attractiveness, and palatability of food.
· Ensure food is prepared, cooked and portion size is per facility policies and procedures/state regulations.
· Assist as needed when ordering departmental supplies and notify the dietary manager when supplies are needed.
· Ensure cleaning, sanitation, and safety requirements are maintained.
· Perform any or all the duties in the kitchen, tray line, dining room, and dish room as needed to meet daily operations need.
· Maintain knowledge of therapeutic diets
· Report any equipment malfunctions immediately to the dietary manager.
· Communicate any findings to other appropriate staff members.
· Complete quality management inspections to ensure cleanliness ad condition of work areas.
· Ensure infection control practices are always maintained.
· Check temperature logs for food, refrigerators, and freezers as assigned.
· Assist with departmental record keeping.
· Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
· Comply with company policies and procedures and state regulations
· Perform other duties as assigned.
